SCREW BACK MASTER LAP

The Lap is ground flat and parallel and is used as a base plate for other laps. 

GemPro Master Lap brand laps are 8mm thick and are not charged with abrasive. They are available in 150mm or 200mm diameter.

1/4" 20 thread right hand. It fits a variety of cabbing machines that have a 1/4" female thread tapped into the right hand side of the shaft. They will also fit flat lap machines such as the CrystalMater 6 and the CrystalMaster 8 that have a 1/4" female thread on top of the arbor.

Our master lap is used for a backing for a variety of thin laps incliuding Ultralaps, diamond plated disks, felt pads and leather pads.

If you are using it with a felt or leather pad for polishing curved suraces such as cabochons you will also need a rubber backing disk to provide a flexible surface.
