These sintered diamond wheels are manufactured in China with a 5mm depth of sintered diamond. This makes them extremely durable with a very long working life.

Sintered diamond wheels will outlast single layer wheels (such as brazed and electroplated wheels) many times over.

Full 5mm deep diamond matrix exposes new cutting points as the wheels are used. Sintered wheels can be dressed to expose additional crystals for a more agressive cut, but dressing is not always needed if you follow a "side to side" pattern when grinding to ensure even wear.

These are very heavy wheels, coming in at 3.8 kilograms and should only be used on lapidary machines that are engineered to take that kind of weight.

Generally order one grit size coarser for sintered diamond tools as compared to plated or brazed parts.
