Eastwind Flexwheel 8 Inch - 280 Grit       This product consists of a hard plastic hub with a layer of foam between the hub and belt. The diamond grit resin is impregnated into the outside skin of the wheel. This wheel will perform very aggressively, but with a slight drape to eliminate scratching and flat spots. The Flexwheels are offered in the following diameters: 8" x 2" x 1" bore (Bushings to fit sizes 3/4", 5/8", and 1/2" are included). These products must be used with water and the maximum RPM is 1725. FlexWheels are excellent for grinding and polishing gemstones and are a fine solution for the machine tool industry for grinding and polishing carbide tools. They are manufactured in 60 mesh through 100,000 mesh. All the prices for the various meshes are the same cost.
