Our Resin Bonded Diamond Disk system is ideal for those that want to make cabochons but have limited space or a small machine.
The tough resin bonded diamond surface of the disk is backed by 6mm of high density neoprene foam. The surface of the disk has enough "drape" to take off small facets left on the surface of the stone left after the initial grinding process.
The disk is backed with magnetic material that will grip on to a steel face plate. You can easily convert your aluminium or wooden face plate to take these disks by permanently glueing a steel disk (such as an old lapidary saw blade) to your existing face plate.
The disks are available in the following grits: 280, 600, 1200 & 3000
They can be purchased individually or they are available as a set of 4 for a discounted price.
The 1/2" centre hole models are ideal for faceting machines. |
