ECONOMY MINI ROLLING MILL
A rolling mill is often used to press an ingot (a block of metal) into more easily workable sheet or wire by applying pressure to flatten and lengthen the metal. These mills are also very useful for the fusing process of two metals and roll printing and patterning.
These particular mills are designed for light work only. They are perfect for light texturing and wire rolling, however they are not designed for rolling ingots into sheet. If you want to roll ingots you really should be looking at a heavy duty jewellers rolling mill such as a Durston.
The rollers are 76mm in length and consist of:
' 2 flat rollers for sheet metal
' 1 roller with half round and v-slots
' 1 patterned roller with horizontal lines and organic texture
' 1 patterned roller with two types of cross hatching
The rolling mill has a maximum capacity to draw sheet of 10ga/2.6mm and a minimum of 26ga 0.404mm. Not recommended for sheet thicker than 2.6mm
For use with soft non ferrous metals such as silver and gold only.
Machine dimensions, including gears and handle, are 350mm width, 250mm length, 380mm height.
Machine weight is 27kg and is too heavy for Australia Post delivery, it will ship by courier.
The machine does not come with instructions, however a quick online search will give you plenty of results including several YouTube videos.
Made in India.
