These pre-coated thin plastic film discs are an easy way to polish faceted stones. The plastic film has a uniform layer of carefully graded polishing compound evenly distributed over the entire surface.

Water is used as a coolant and there is no need to add any additional polishing compounds.

They are supplied 3 discs per package and each has a 1/2" arbor hole. They are available in 150mm and 200mm diameters.

OxyLaps' can be used on any flat lap surface but are most commonly used on a Lucite (perspex) lap. Just wet the surface of the lap and the film remains in place yet can be easily removed.

The surface of the perspex lap must be thoroughly clean before using the OxyLap. Any loose particles on the perspex lap will cause damage to the film, and loss of polishing compound.
