Mini-Flex Pads & Discs These small rubber backing discs are available in 1/2in., 1in. and 1-1/2in. diameters. They are designed to be used with Crystalite Mini Flexodiscs, Crystalpads, and Polypads with PSA (self adhesive) backing. Mini flex discs are a miniature version of Crystalite larger products of the same name. They can be charged up with either diamond compound or a variety of other polishing products such as cerium or tin oxides. A Crystalpad is made from a resin treated fabric designed to accept a charge of diamond compound from 240 through to 100,000 grit. It is best used to sand and polish hard stones such as Corundum, Garnet and Agate. A Polypad is made from a leather like synthetic material and is used for the polishing (not sanding) step of softer stones such as opal and turquoise.
